HOW DOES YOUR STORAGE PICK UP AND DELIVERY SERVICES WORK?

The process is simple, quick and entirely managed through our website, App or you can call in your requests.

  1. You order as many boxes as you need online, via our app or by phone
  2. We will deliver your empty boxes and welcome kit which includes an inventory form and other helpful information
  3. You fill our boxes up with your goods (small to large goods)
  4. Schedule a pick-up so they can be securely stored by us.
  5. On request, My Box Valet drops them back off–within 24 hours.
  6. The completed inventory can be entered online onto our web based system for easy access or stored in hard copy at your home
  7. Our app lets our customers upload pictures of their boxes and contents in order to keep track of individual items

HOW MUCH DOES YOUR MOVING BOX RENTALS COST?

The cost of the service will depend on the number of plastic boxes you choose to order and the amount of time you keep them for. We rent a minimum of 25 boxes and prices start at $0.50 per box. The longer you keep our boxes, the lower the rate becomes.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU CURRENTLY OFFER YOUR SERVICES IN?

We currently operate in the South Florida area including Miami-Dade and Broward County.

WHEN DO YOU DROP OFF EMPTY BOXES FOR STORAGE OR PLASTIC MOVING BOXES?

We drop off empty boxes that you have ordered within 24 to 48 hours of the request.

WHAT DAYS ARE YOU CLOSED AND DO NOT DELIVER?

My Box Valet is open Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturdays 9am to 1pm, except major holidays which include New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

HOW DOES YOUR COST COMPARE TO OTHER STORAGE SOLUTIONS?

We are competitive with or even cheaper than most self-storage facilities. We provide much easier access to your items as you never have to travel to a storage facility, not only do we come to you but you can see and manage all your items online or through our App.

HOW DOES YOUR COST COMPARE TO OTHER MOVING SOLUTIONS FOR PLASTIC BOX RENTALS?

Instead of losing 1-3 hours of your day having to drive to a store, pick out cardboard boxes and tape and stand in line, and then get home and lose 2-4 more hours assembling boxes together, and then dispose of them when you are finished. You can save time, money and the environment all at the same time by renting our recyclable plastic moving boxes.

And most importantly, your items won’t get crushed since our boxes don’t tear, break or fall apart.

We drop them off, you pack and move, and then we just pick them up, that simple!

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

My Box Valet accepts all major credit cards.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM NOT HOME FOR MY SCHEDULED DELIVERY OR PICK UP?

If we schedule a box drop off, delivery or pick up with you and you or someone else is not home to accept the box drop off, delivery or pick up,  a fee of $35 will be charged and we will return at a different time or date.

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WON’T STORE?

Yes, we will not store perishable items, breakables, liquids, explosive devices, artwork, mirrors, jewelry, glass, fine art or any illegal substances.

DO YOU PROVIDE PACKING SUPPLIES?

We don’t supply packing supplies but if you’d like to use our storage services, we can pack your things for you with supplies included.

CAN YOU PACK MY THINGS FOR ME IF I WANT TO USE YOUR STORAGE SERVICES?

Yes, we can. Our Fragile Box Packing has a flat rate of $20 per box and our Normal Box Packing has a flat rate of $10 per box.

CAN I USE MY OWN BOXES IF I WANT TO USE YOUR STORAGE SERVICES?

No, you may not use your own boxes. You must use ours.

DO YOU STORE LARGE ITEMS SUCH AS FURNITURE, RUGS OR LAMPS?

No, but we can store midsize items such as empty luggage items, Christmas trees, Menorahs, Bicycles, Golf Clubs and Folder archives for businesses.

HOW DO YOU STORE BIKES?

We store our customers’ bicycles on racks, separate from other storage.

ARE THERE WEIGHT LIMITS ON MY STORAGE?

Yes, boxes may weigh no more than 75lbs.

HOW QUICKLY CAN I HAVE ACCESS TO MY ITEMS IN STORAGE?

Normal box drop off and delivery times are between 36-48 hours from time of request, but if you need expedited service, we can easily accommodate a quick delivery in as little as six hours for a flat rate of $45 + $3 per box.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY BELONGINGS IF I AM LATE MAKING A PAYMENT?

We know that emergencies and unexpected events can interrupt finances. If you know in advance that you may be late making a payment for any reason, please contact us so that we can work with you.

There is a chance you may be charged a late payment fee when you are late or miss making a payment and do not reach out to us in advance. In extreme cases, we may not return your belongings until your account balance is settled.

DO I HAVE TO MAKE A LONG-TERM COMMITMENT?

No, we require just a 3-month minimum commitment.

WHAT KIND OF INSURANCE DO YOU PROVIDE FOR STORAGE?

My Box Valet offers supplemental storage insurance. The industry standard rate of $0.60 per lb, up to a $2,000 maximum liability. The contents of the boxes can usually be added to your homeowner’s insurance policy for a nominal fee, we suggest you check with your insurance provider.

DO YOU INSURE MY BELONGINGS IF THEIR STORED WITH YOU?

We strongly advise you to have coverage on your belongings and your items may be covered under your current homeowners or renters policy. However, we can provide supplemental tenant insurance.

HOW DO I ACCESS MY INVENTORY?

To access your inventory, log in to your account on www.myboxvalet.com. Your inventory images are also stored on your downloaded My Box Valet App.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I KEEP THE PLASTIC BOXES FOR MORE THAN 2 WEEKS?

If you need the supplies for more than 2 weeks just let us know and we will extend your rental period. From the third week you will receive a discounted rate.

HOW MUCH TIME IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO ORDER MY PLASTIC BOXES?

We require a 24 hour advance notification to your desired delivery date in order to process your order and arrange for delivery of the moving boxes.

WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY ORDER?

You may cancel your order at any time before your delivery date for a cancellation fee of $35.

WHAT ARE YOUR PICK UP AND DELIVERY RATES FOR MOVING BOX RENTALS?

Box drop off and pick up is always free as long as they’re empty.
